Philosophy: I use trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally competent, creative, strength-based approaches to meet people where they are currently struggling. I utilize art therapy and counseling techniques in working with individuals and families. I am passionate about helping people identify their values to increase their self-awareness, self-care, and self-worth. I aim to assist people in learning new coping skills through a variety of therapeutic approaches. My goal is to build strong, meaningful relationships with others by creating a safe, non-judgmental environment that fosters authenticity. I employ mindfulness, humor, grounding exercises, art making, and psycho-education in sessions to help people expand their toolbox of coping skills. I am a firm believer in validating any positive change while assisting individuals on how to best achieve their individual goals.
