Philosophy My goal as a clinician is to make therapy more approachable and palatable, regardless of your background. I believe that therapy is not just for those with diagnosable disorders. You could be well suited for therapy if you are having difficulty managing experiences, and emotions, on a day to day basis. We all have strengths and challenges that make us uniquely us. I will work collaboratively with you to build resiliency and a stronger sense of self. We can normalize the human experience, letting go of any shame or fear that may have stagnated progress. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other holistic based skills to help you overcome trauma and transitions that may have blocked self-discovery. We can work together towards a life balance, through witnessing of your life unfold in a meaningful and more purposeful way.

Experience In addition to private practice, I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, residential treatment services, and intensive outpatient programs. My clientele has included adults with co-occurring issues. I have also worked in family separation prevention and family reunification, doing home visits and working with each family member on a therapeutic level. I have completed trauma informed yoga therapy trainings for adults and children. In addition to my clinical experience, I teach yoga and meditation to at-risk youth and low income communities.
In the smallest of steps taken toward counteracting indigenous invisibility, we acknowledge that our office sits on land stolen from the people of the Council of the Three Fires: Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi, as well as the Miami, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sac, and Fox. This land does not belong to us.
